About Us
The City of Parramatta Art Society Inc (CPAS) is the longest running art society in New South Wales, being formed in 1950 by the then Mayor of Parramatta, Eric Mobbs.
The aim of the society is to encourage, promote and foster appreciation of arts throughout the local community. We encourage emerging artists of all ages to develop their skills and to participate in our regular activities which includes workshops/demos and art classes,
held at our studio.
The society provides a friendly environment and gives members the opportunity to exhibit their work at regular exhibitions and at the Society's Art Gallery
"The Hunter Street Gallery of Fine Arts".
The Society also organises plein air outings and social activities.

We are the only permanent Fine Arts Gallery in Parramatta; we change our display every 7 to 8 weeks and sell our member's work.
We have many well-known experienced artists as well as up and coming artists.
Over the last 2 years we have gained a reputation of selling fine art to locals and
visitors to Parramatta.

Our permanent Gallery has been established since 2014.
